First Responder DAYS

Benefiting the Round Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue

This September, we're raising a glass to the heroes who answer the call when our community needs them most.

As a heartfelt thank you for your service, first responders and their immediate families are invited to enjoy special appreciation offers across all Zurschmeide Family Brand properties by simply presenting a valid department ID or badge.

Enjoy complimentary admission to Great Country Farms for yourself and your immediate family, $5 glasses of sangria and wine slushies at Bluemont Vineyard, $5 draft hard ciders at The Henway Hard Cider Barn, and $5 draft beers at Dirt Farm Brewing.

First Responders and their immediate families need only show their badges to Great Country Farms staff to get their special First Responder Days wristbands! These wristbands will allow wearers complimentary admission to Great Country Farms, as well as enjoy special discounts at Bluemont Vineyard, Dirt Farm Brewing, and The Henway Hard Cider Barn.

Additionally, we are honored this year to spotlight and support the Round Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue (RHVFR) with a fundraiser! Read on to learn about our First Responder Days activities . . .

ON-SITE FUNDRAISING WITH RHVFR

• Boots on the Bar Campaign
  You’ll spot firefighter boots at both at the Henway Hard Cider Barn. Drop in your donations to show your support. Every bit helps keep our local heroes equipped and ready!

• QR Code Donations
  Also, look for special QR codes inside Henway napkin dispensers. Scan to make a direct online donation to RHVFR for a quick, easy impact.

First Responder Days Celebration

Saturday, September 12

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Meet the heroes behind the uniforms during our special community celebration at The Henway Hard Cider Barn.

Round Hill Volunteer Fire & Rescue will be onsite with interactive experiences the entire family will enjoy.

Meet the Fleet

Explore emergency response vehicles including:

• Ambulance

• Brush Truck

Kids (and adults!) can even help operate the brush truck's hose during a hands-on fire suppression demonstration using a miniature practice house.

Suit up like a firefighter!

Families can tackle a fun obstacle course while wearing authentic firefighter gear and discover just how much skill, strength, and teamwork it takes to answer an emergency call.

Fire Safety Demonstrations

Throughout the day, firefighters will host interactive demonstrations covering:

• Stop, Drop & Roll

• Fire prevention tips

• Equipment demonstrations

• Questions & answers with local first responders

It's an unforgettable opportunity for children to meet local heroes while learning important life-saving skills.
